MY MINDS TELLING ME: NO

TESIA: NINEWEST

ICON = CENTURY

THE DECOR: is still the same ... HOORAY!

On the way home from the gym I stopped by what use to be ICON... my favorite brunch spot in the city... and picked up some din!

THE PRICES: they were very kind to my card

Well apparently Culinard... a culinary school in the city has taken over the restaurant and renamed it CENTURY...

THE SERVICE: was decent... after the girl at the bar finally took my order

Still in my sweatsuit and carrying my duffel I sat at the bar (totally out of place) and chatted with my new criminal lawyer friend...lol... he kept badgering me about my bb and itouch... "I don't want no d#%&n body trying to keep up with me all the time."...lol... he was babysitting some wine...

THE FOOD: CAJUN CHICKEN SANDWICH: SLAW: FRIES & an order of HOMEMADE CHIPS w/ a creamy cheese based sauce... all very tasty as a TO GO order... I have to warn you if you don't like spice don't try the Cajun... mouth was on fire!

CENTURY : 4 out of 5... I love teaching environments .... Culinard also has a Bakery/Cafe... they make fresh GELATO and some pretty scrumptious CAKES.

LOVE: NO: LANGUAGE : BARRIER

I remember transferring to kindergarten... I loved coloring... and obviously I was GREAT at it... they gave me this box of colors for the day .... they were cheap made of this waxy stuff that left shards all over my paper .... I colored hard... all the kids were amazed... I'm not kidding... seriously ... my coloring drew a crowd...lol... and then I got my CRAYOLA'S... ahhh... I think every kids should have quality art supplies... watch out... for my foundation

the REVIEW: WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

MOVIE STAPLE: APPLE JUICE

Winner of the Caldecott Medal, Boston Globe -Horn Book Award, and a named Notable Book by the American Library Association... the children's book turned feature length film is in heavy rotation just a couple of blocks from me at the McWane Science Center IMAX theater... it's been years since I read the story but I could vividly recall the large format picture book... While the movie was of course children "themed" it was pretty adult friendly... it really wasn't the movie that intrigued me though... THE SOUNDTRACK! I NEED IT! The music was amazing and kept me in the film... The soundtrack is credited mostly to Karen O and the Kids... Karen O is from the group Yeah Yeah Yeahs... I'm going to have to post a music REVIEW soon... hmm.... but back to the movie...I have to say I wasn't to impressed by the IMAX... some stuff is just to large to be larger ... I think I would have had a better experience on a standard screen... all in all it was a pretty cool sounding night at the movies!

I SPY: WALK HOME FROM THE GYM

CUT CORNERS: THROUGH THE PARKING DECK

THE BIRMINGHAM MUSUEM OF ART

MUDDY WATERS: THE WATER FEATURE RUNNING THROUGH THE PARK

STOP TRAFFIC

SO... as I was crossing through the park I observed a cop and two women... apparently the women were having a lovers quarrel... the cop sent them off in two different directions and quickly hopped in his vehicle... um duh... they aren't going to follow your directions... seconds later the one he directed to go through the park starts screaming the other north bound ladies name and begins to beg her to slow down and wait on her... she begins to jog after her... by the time I made it to the last shot they were face to face on the corner a block down... DRAMA! I KEEP MY MACE
